Filipino-American families in Pensacola and Milton, Florida, who trace their roots from
the Province of Pangasinan, the Philippines, formed the U-
PANGS (United Pangsinenses) to provide a means of assembling
together as a group in the pursuance of social activities, friendship, civic
community endeavors and fellowship in the proud and unique Pangasinan
tradition, without interference with, opposition to, or in competition with any
other social group or association in the Pensacola and Milton area and
surrounding places. However independent of its form, it reflects the ideals of
every Filipino-American associations or groups in Northwest Florida.
Families and friends who are not sons or daughters of Pangasinan, but
interested to be a part of U-Pangs are welcomed with open arms as Honorary
Members.
Upangs is a family oriented group, that seek to preserve the tradition and
culture of Pangasinan and whose ideal is in keeping with the great American
spirit as envisioned by the Founding Fathers. Any constructive suggestion(s) to
enhance its purpose is welcomed and appreciated.
